Terms of use

1. The service
Manhunt IRL (“we”) provides an app and website that help groups play the outdoor game Manhunt. The game itself happens in the real world, between you and the people you choose to play with.
2. Playing safely is your responsibility
Manhunt is a physical game played outdoors. By using the service you agree to:
- play only in places where you are allowed to be, and never trespass;
- keep away from roads, water, railways, roofs and other hazards;
- use touch tags only, and never tackle, grab or push anyone;
- obey the law, local curfews and park rules;
- stop when anyone asks to stop, and use the safety pause when needed;
- never use the service while driving or riding a vehicle.
You play at your own risk. The app is a game aid; it is not a safety device, and GPS can be wrong. (Legal review: assumption of risk and limitation of liability.)
3. Age
You must be at least 13 to use the service on your own. Younger players may play only in a game run by a responsible adult acting as referee.
4. Fair play
Don’t cheat, spoof your location, interfere with other players’ games, abuse the dispute or pause features, or try to access data you’re not meant to see.
5. Your content
Nicknames must not be offensive or impersonate others. Recaps and share cards you create are yours to share.
6. Availability
We work hard to keep games running, but we can’t promise the service will always be available or error-free.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. If changes are significant, we’ll tell you in the app or on this site.
